Troubleshooting

  1. Check that the attachment is on (status in the list of attachments).
  2. Check the language. The e-mail goes out in the customer’s language, so an attachment for another language is not added. Set All languages or add the attachment for this language too.
  3. Check the template. Under Advanced Parameters → E-mail → E-mail logs, see which template was actually sent.
  4. Check the license. Without a valid license, e-mails go out without attachments.

The file in upload/mv_attachment/ was deleted (for example when moving the shop). Click Edit and upload it again.

Together with the attachments the e-mail is too large for the mail server. Reduce the attachments, for example a PDF with smaller images.

  • The contents of the file do not match its extension (e.g. a renamed extension).
  • The file is larger than the server allows (upload_max_filesize). The message says what to do.
  • Only the listed formats and at most 5 MB are allowed.

An e-mail from another module is not in the list

Section titled “An e-mail from another module is not in the list”

The module must be installed and have its templates in the mails/ folder. If it has none, there is nothing to read.

Neither the admin nor the shop works after an update

Section titled “Neither the admin nor the shop works after an update”

If an update fails, it usually rolls back by itself. If it did not, the original version is saved in this folder:

modules/.mvkit/backup/mv_attachment@<version>

Rename the modules/mv_attachment folder (e.g. to mv_attachment_new) and rename the backup folder to mv_attachment. The settings remained in the database.

If you cannot solve a problem, write to support via the contact page and include:

  • the module version (shown in the License panel) and the PrestaShop version,
  • the exact error text (ideally a screenshot),
  • a description of what you did and what you expected,
  • the address of your shop.

Support and updates are included for the first 12 months after purchase.
