WEB Vision – Cookie banner
The WEB Vision – Cookie banner module shows your visitors a cookie consent banner, blocks tracking scripts until the visitor gives consent, and stores a record of the consent. It works with Google Consent Mode v2.
What the module does
Section titled “What the module does”- Shows a cookie banner with the buttons Accept all, Reject and Settings. In the settings window the visitor chooses categories: Necessary, Functional, Analytics and Marketing.
- The banner and window are translated into Slovak, Czech and English. Other languages show English.
- Google Consent Mode v2: sets the state “denied” before all Google tags and updates it after the visitor’s choice. It can also insert Google Tag Manager.
- Blocks scripts of other services (Meta Pixel, TikTok, Hotjar, Heureka and others) and modules until the visitor consents to the relevant category.
- After consent is withdrawn it deletes the cookies of that category and reloads the page.
- Stores consent records as proof for GDPR, with CSV export.
What you need
Section titled “What you need”- PrestaShop 1.7.6 to 9.x, PHP 7.1 or newer.
- A valid module license (the
.licfile is included in the downloaded package). - A Cookie Policy page in your shop (you create it under Design → Pages). See Installation.
How it works in brief
Section titled “How it works in brief”- A visitor arrives in the shop and sees the banner. Until they choose, tracking scripts do not run.
- The visitor chooses what to allow. The choice is stored in their browser (the
mv_cookie_consentcookie, 182 days by default) and recorded as proof. - The allowed scripts run. Google tags receive the consent information.
- The visitor can change the choice at any time via the Cookie settings link.
Where next
Section titled “Where next”- Installation and first run: uploading the module and step-by-step setup.
