Troubleshooting
Start with the Setup status panel in the module settings. It shows which step is missing. If the problem relates to Comgate, also see Comgate documentation and links and the Comgate service status.
The payment is not offered at checkout
Section titled “The payment is not offered at checkout”Check:
- Are the shop ID and password filled in?
- Is the shop currency supported (EUR, CZK, PLN, HUF, USD, GBP, RON, NOK, SEK)?
- Is the amount within Comgate’s limits?
- Does PrestaShop allow the payment for the currency, country and customer group? See Payment → Preferences.
- Is the license valid? Without it the payment is not offered.
- Is the customer’s carrier among those chosen in the Carriers field?
The connection does not work (code 1102, 1306, 1309)
Section titled “The connection does not work (code 1102, 1306, 1309)”This is usually an incorrect shop ID or password, or an inactive connection in the Comgate Client Portal. Check the data under Integrace → Nastavení obchodů → Propojení obchodu and use the matching data in both test and live mode. You will find the meaning of the errors in Comgate’s help (Slovak).
The customer paid, but the order stayed in “COMGATE – waiting for payment”
Section titled “The customer paid, but the order stayed in “COMGATE – waiting for payment””- In the Setup status panel check the URL for passing the payment result and the time of the last notification. The URL must be set in the Client Portal exactly as in the panel.
- Check that the server IP address is allowed and that cron is running.
- In the order click Check payment status. The module loads the status directly from Comgate.
The Checkout SDK does not load
Section titled “The Checkout SDK does not load”Check:
- the Checkout SDK identifier in the settings,
- the allowed origins in Comgate (the exact shop address including
https), - for Apple Pay the verification file on the domain (see Gateway display methods).
The Another payment method link always works. Also see Checkout SDK, FAQ.
The inline gateway does not open
Section titled “The inline gateway does not open”Your shop sends a Content-Security-Policy header that forbids iframes from *.comgate.cz. Allow these domains, or switch the gateway display to redirect.
Apple Pay does not work
Section titled “Apple Pay does not work”- The verification file must be stored in
.well-known/in the shop root and the server must publish it. - The file is downloaded with the button in the Setup status panel and renewed once a day by cron.
- More: Apple Pay (Slovak).
The customer received an e-mail with a payment link
Section titled “The customer received an e-mail with a payment link”It is one e-mail for an unfinished payment (cancelled or expired). It can be turned off in the Orders and payments panel. A shorter payment validity means an earlier e-mail.
The payment in test mode is not shown to everyone
Section titled “The payment in test mode is not shown to everyone”In test mode the payment is shown only to the chosen IP addresses, if you set them. An empty field means everyone. Add your address with the Add my IP address button.
A refund cannot be made
Section titled “A refund cannot be made”- An employee needs the right to edit orders and access to the Comgate tab (Advanced Parameters → Team → Permissions).
- Check that the payment in the Comgate panel is paid and that the refund amount does not exceed the amount paid.
- You will find errors under Advanced Parameters → Logs (
[mv_comgate]).
Neither the admin nor the shop works after an update
Section titled “Neither the admin nor the shop works after an update”If an update fails, it usually rolls back by itself. If it did not, the original version is saved in this folder:
modules/.mvkit/backup/mv_comgate@<version>Rename the modules/mv_comgate folder (e.g. to mv_comgate_new) and rename the backup folder to mv_comgate. The settings remained in the database.
Contacting support
Section titled “Contacting support”If you cannot solve a problem, write to support via the contact page and include:
- the module version (shown in the License panel) and the PrestaShop version,
- the exact error text (ideally a screenshot),
- a description of what you did and what you expected,
- the address of your shop.
Support and updates are included for the first 12 months after purchase.
For problems with the account, contract, fees or approval of the shop, contact Comgate directly (you will find contacts in Comgate’s help).
