Settings and rate status
Open the settings via Modules → Module Manager → WEB Vision – Automatické kurzy mien ECB → Configure.
If you run several shops (multistore), the settings are saved for the shop selected in the admin header. Settings saved for “all shops” apply to shops that have no settings of their own.
Settings
Section titled “Settings”| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Enabled | Main switch. |
| Largest rate change | 10 % by default. A larger change is not written automatically; it waits for confirmation. 0 = no check. |
| Currency update | For each currency except the default: turns on updating from the ECB. |
| Markup type | Percentage or fixed amount. |
| Markup amount | Added to the ECB rate. |
Rate status
Section titled “Rate status”The Rate status (Stav kurzov) panel shows:
- the time of the last update,
- pending rates with the Confirm and write button,
- the Update now button,
- the address for cron,
- the history of changes.
A pending rate
Section titled “A pending rate”If a rate changed by more than the allowed limit, the module does not write it and shows it as pending. Check it and click Confirm and write. You also receive an e-mail to the shop’s address (or the address entered in the settings). It is sent once per ECB day while the rate waits. The notification can be turned off.
History
Section titled “History”The history of rate changes is in the mv_currencyrate_log table. It is kept for 3 months; older records are deleted at the next update. Uninstalling does not delete it.
How it works
Section titled “How it works”- The module downloads
eurofxref-daily.xmlfrom the ECB. On an error the rates stay unchanged. - For each enabled currency it calculates the rate against the default currency (cross via EUR) and adds the markup.
- A change larger than the limit is stored as pending. After confirmation it is written.
- The rate is written for all shops and a record is added to the history.
Important:
- If the rate is already written, running it again changes nothing.
- A rate you changed by hand is reset by the module at the next run to the ECB rate with the markup.
- Already created orders are not changed by the rate.
