Troubleshooting

Check:

  1. Is an order status chosen?
  2. Is cron running? The address from the Sending panel must be set up on the server.
  3. Is the review module turned on (e.g. Product Comments)?
  4. Is the license valid?
  5. Have fewer days passed than the Number of days to wait?
  6. Is the customer in an excluded group, or did they receive a request recently (the “at most one e-mail per X days” limit)?
  7. Is the order older than the set oldest order?

You see the error in the history. Check the e-mail settings in PrestaShop (Advanced Parameters → E-mail). A failed send is tried again, at most 3 times. With the Send again button you can also try it by hand.

With another review module enter the button (anchor) of the form in the advanced settings. If anonymous reviews are off, a customer who is not logged in logs in first.

Neither the admin nor the shop works after an update

Section titled “Neither the admin nor the shop works after an update”

If an update fails, it usually rolls back by itself. If it did not, the original version is saved in this folder:

modules/.mvkit/backup/mv_review@<version>

Rename the modules/mv_review folder (e.g. to mv_review_new) and rename the backup folder to mv_review. The settings remained in the database.

If you cannot solve a problem, write to support via the contact page and include:

  • the module version (shown in the License panel) and the PrestaShop version,
  • the exact error text (ideally a screenshot),
  • a description of what you did and what you expected,
  • the address of your shop.

Support and updates are included for the first 12 months after purchase.
