Indexing, the chart and a custom place

The module settings have a status panel: the number of records and the time of the last run. The Index now button starts recalculating the lowest prices.

• Indexing runs in batches with a progress indicator, so the server time limit does not stop it.
• Run it after installation and after larger changes of prices or discounts.
• The index is refreshed automatically when a product is saved and when a discount changes. For dated discounts cron or manual indexing is needed.

For a discounted product, text with the lowest price from the previous days (at least 30, per the setting) appears above or below the price. If you turn on the price history chart, there is a Price development link next to the text that opens a chart of the price history.

If the theme does not call the hook displayProductPriceBlock, or you want the text elsewhere, use the widget in a template:

You can also use any display hook.

For customer groups and countries that have their own price (a group discount, a specific price), a separate history is kept. The customer sees the lowest price that applied to their group and country. Others use the shared history.
