Module settings

Open the settings via Modules → Module Manager → WEB Vision – Cookie lišta → Configure. The page contains the panels Setup status, Settings, Google, Appearance, Scripts, Advanced and License.

If you run several shops (multistore), the settings are saved for the shop selected in the admin header. Settings saved for “all shops” apply to shops that have no settings of their own.

An overview of what is done and what is missing. Each item has a green mark (fine) or an orange one (needs checking):

Item What it shows
Cookie banner Whether it is on. The View in the shop link opens it.
Cookie Policy page Whether one is selected. If missing, create it under Design → Pages.
Google Consent Mode v2 Whether it is on and whether the module inserts Tag Manager.
Script list How many scripts the module detected and when.
Blocking scripts until consent Whether it is on and how many scripts wait for consent.
JavaScript merging Shown only when there is a problem. See Troubleshooting.
Consent records How many records are stored, their size, the oldest record and the retention period. The link leads to Customers → Súhlasy s cookies (Cookie consents).
Field Meaning
Show the cookie banner Main switch. When off, the module shows and blocks nothing.
Cookie Policy page The page the banner and the settings window link to.
Banner position Box bottom left (default), Box bottom right, Full-width bar at the bottom or Box in the middle of the page.
Title and Banner text Your own text for each language. An empty field = the module’s default text for that language. The buttons and the settings window are translated automatically (Slovak, Czech, English).
Cookie settings link in the footer Shows a link in the footer with which the visitor changes or withdraws consent.

The visitor must be able to change consent at any time. Besides the footer, you can add the link:

  • By inserting {widget name='mv_cookies'} into a theme template (a theme edit).
  • With a link to #cookie-settings anywhere, including in the text of a CMS page (e.g. in the Cookie Policy). Any link with this target works.

If your theme has its own cookie link, turn off the footer link so there are not two.

Google Analytics, Google Ads and Tag Manager are not blocked. They follow consent through Consent Mode v2. Without consent they do not store cookies and send only anonymous signals.

Field Meaning
Google Consent Mode v2 Recommended on. Sets the state “denied” before all Google tags and updates it after the visitor’s choice.
Google Tag Manager Optional. Enter the container ID (GTM-XXXXXXX) and the module inserts it right after the consent setup. If GTM is already inserted by the theme or another module, leave the field empty. For non-Google tags use the mv_cookies_consent event in GTM.

An empty field means the default look. The font is taken from the theme.

Field Meaning
Main color Buttons, switches and links. Enter it as #1f4e9c.
Background Background color of the banner.
Text color Color of the text in the banner.
Corner radius A whole number from 0 to 30 (px).

The list of services and modules to be blocked until consent. A separate chapter: Script blocking.

Field Meaning
Consent validity Number of days after which the banner is shown again. Default 182 days (6 months), at most 395 days (13 months).
Block the page until a choice is made The visitor must choose before continuing. Most shops do not use it (off by default).
Do not show the banner to robots Search engines and speed-measuring tools see the page without the banner (on by default).
Store consent records Proof of consent for GDPR: consent ID, categories, date and a shortened IP address (on by default). See Consent records.
Keep records Number of months after which records are deleted (default 12). Consent is valid for at most 13 months, so we recommend 12. 0 = never delete, so the table keeps growing.
Request consent again A button that raises the “consent version”. The banner is shown again to all visitors. Use it when you change services or policies.
