Troubleshooting

Start with the Setup status panel in the module settings.

Check:

1. Is the module enabled (Enabled)?
2. Is the license valid?
3. Carrier: is the chosen carrier among those selected in Carriers? (Nothing selected = all.)
4. Currency: is the order currency among the selected ones?
5. Country: does the delivery address belong to one of the selected countries?

In the settings choose the Tax on the surcharge. Without a tax rule the surcharge is charged without VAT.

The theme must list all lines of the order total (order.subtotals), like Classic and Hummingbird. At checkout the summary must have the id js-checkout-summary. With a custom theme this needs to be checked. You can contact support.

Errors are in Advanced Parameters → Logs (look for [mv_cashondelivery]).

If an update fails, it usually rolls back by itself. If it did not, the original version is saved in this folder:

modules/.mvkit/backup/mv_cashondelivery@<version>

Rename the modules/mv_cashondelivery folder (e.g. to mv_cashondelivery_new) and rename the backup folder to mv_cashondelivery. The settings remained in the database.

If you cannot solve a problem, write to support via the contact page and include:

• the module version (shown in the License panel) and the PrestaShop version,
• the exact error text (ideally a screenshot),
• a description of what you did and what you expected,
• the address of your shop.
