Troubleshooting
The order still has PrestaShop’s code
Section titled “The order still has PrestaShop’s code”- Check that the module is on and the license valid.
- Look at Advanced Parameters → Logs (the
[mv_changeref]lines). - Only new orders get the code, not those that already existed.
The sequence does not start from 1
Section titled “The sequence does not start from 1”There were already orders in the year (month), so the series continues after them. If you want to start differently, contact support.
Another module shortens the code
Section titled “Another module shortens the code”Some payment or accounting modules assume 9 characters. Choose a shorter format (e.g. Short year + sequence).
Two shops have the same code
Section titled “Two shops have the same code”If a code is taken, the module uses the next number. With an ID format PrestaShop’s code is kept and a warning is written to the Logs. Use different prefixes for different shops.
Neither the admin nor the shop works after an update
Section titled “Neither the admin nor the shop works after an update”If an update fails, it usually rolls back by itself. If it did not, the original version is saved in this folder:
modules/.mvkit/backup/mv_changeref@<version>Rename the modules/mv_changeref folder (e.g. to mv_changeref_new) and rename the backup folder to mv_changeref. The settings remained in the database.
Contacting support
Section titled “Contacting support”If you cannot solve a problem, write to support via the contact page and include:
- the module version (shown in the License panel) and the PrestaShop version,
- the exact error text (ideally a screenshot),
- a description of what you did and what you expected,
- the address of your shop.
Support and updates are included for the first 12 months after purchase.
