How it works for the customer
Filling in by company ID
Section titled “Filling in by company ID”- The customer enters the company ID and clicks the Load data from ORSR button.
- The module checks the company ID (8 digits, check sum), so the register is not called needlessly.
- The shop requests the data from the register and passes it to the browser. The customer’s browser does not contact the register directly.
- The form is filled in. Empty values from the register (e.g. a company without a VAT ID) overwrite nothing.
Company data is not stored in the shop. Only a short-lived counter of attempts per IP address stays in the cache.
Filling in by name
Section titled “Filling in by name”- It starts when the name has at least 5 characters (spaces are not counted), after a short pause in typing (0.5 s). Shorter text searches nothing.
- Under the field at most 8 companies are offered (name, company ID, city, a warning if the company is not active).
- The list can be controlled with the mouse and keyboard (arrows, Enter, Escape).
- Choosing a company fills in the company ID and loads the other data (tax ID, VAT ID, address), just like the button.
What appears in special cases
Section titled “What appears in special cases”- The city is filled in without the suffix “city district” (from “Bratislava - city district Ružinov” only “Bratislava” remains).
- The company is not active: the customer gets a warning, the data is filled in.
- Sole traders: the register may not publish the address. The module says so and the customer fills in the address by hand.
- A non-Slovak company ID: the customer gets a message that the company was not found. The register covers Slovak companies.
- Data source: after loading, a link to the ORSF.sk source appears under the button. The data is under the CC-BY 4.0 license.
Limits
Section titled “Limits”| Limit | Value |
|---|---|
| Loads by company ID per customer | 10 per minute |
| Searches by name per visitor | 20 per minute |
| The register (per your server’s IP address) | 60 requests per minute |
When a limit is exceeded, the customer gets a “Too many attempts” message.
