What the customer sees for an unpaid order
Section titled “What the customer sees for an unpaid order”- In the order confirmation and in the order detail in My account there is a Pay order button. The payment page is protected by a key.
- When a payment was not completed (cancelled or expired) and the order is waiting, the module sends the customer one e-mail with a payment link. The e-mail can be turned off.
- On a new attempt the previous unfinished payment is cancelled, so the order cannot be paid twice.
- The payment link continues the payment in progress. A new one is created only if the previous one has ended.
Refunds
Section titled “Refunds”In the Comgate panel in the order detail:
- Click Refund.
- Enter the amount (full or partial) and confirm.
- The refund is recorded in the refund history below the panel.
On a refund of the full amount the order moves to the status set for refunds (by default COMGATE – refund). The module’s own statuses do not create a credit note; you issue it according to your procedure.
How a refund works in Comgate: Refundace platby na bráně (in Czech).
Pre-authorization
Section titled “Pre-authorization”Pre-authorization (optional, for card payments only) blocks the amount on the customer’s card without capturing it right away.
- You turn it on in the Orders and payments panel.
- After authorization the order moves to the status COMGATE – payment authorization confirmed.
- In the order you then capture (Capture the payment) or release (Release the authorization) it. When released, the order is cancelled.
How pre-authorization works in Comgate: Pre-authorization (in Slovak).
Module logs
Section titled “Module logs”You will find the module’s errors under Advanced Parameters → Logs (look for [mv_comgate]).
